Creativity is piercing the mundane to find marvelous

Ah, such beautiful words. It’s the mundane we try to escape, in our search for something unique. We look at the dreamers and wonder how extraordinary their lives have been, and wish to live such lives. It’s true that lives of these fearless visionaries have been extraordinary. No wonder they fascinate and inspire us.

But, look closely at the lives of these trailblazers and we see how they pierced the mundane, to create wonders. Take Copernicus for example; He calculated the position of the earth, sun, and other planets, every day for 10 years, in a search to find how the sun revolves around the earth. But in the end, he discovered that the Earth in fact revolves around the sun! This was such a huge discovery, but most of his days or years leading up to this great discovery, had been about noting the planet positions everyday. He wasn’t trying to discover something world changing, he had a belief and he was working hard despite the odds, working passionately on a somewhat mundane task, but it finally led him to the marvelous.

So, if you have a belief, a passion, a purpose you wish to pursue, or are already pursuing, don’t let the low days stop you. If you face failure, don’t let that stop you. If you see the results going opposite, keep going, find the answers. If you are doing what you love, it’s going to take you places. Keep the spirit!
